Leo Bridgewater Sr. enlisted in the United States Army in response to the September 11 attacks. He spent five years as a Telecommunications specialist with multiple deployments to Iraq. Having had three battle buddies attempt suicide, with two successful, Leo sought ways to advocate on behalf of his fellow veterans. As a result of his advocacy, NJ Governor Chris Christie signed bill S-2345 adding post traumatic stress disorder to the NJ Medical Marijuana Program in 2016. Leo is NJ Chapter President and Director of Veteran Outreach for Minorities for Medical Marijuana and co-founder of the NJ Cannabis Commission.
